My strengths:
From my A Level Media Course I have strength in Camera skills I am able to use a camera correctly,set up a tripod and experiment with different shot types.An example of using camera work skills are for my Western Gunfight preliminary activity and through photography for creating a music magazine.Through directing I was able to work collaboratively with my friend Charlotte to produce ideas for my Western Gunfight such as shot list,storyboard,script writing,finding locations and characters.Through extra research for my Media studies project I had interviewed my audience to get feedback on my existing products which was really useful for me,I did this through audio via Sound-cloud.
My weakness and how to improve:
Through my weaknesses are mainly animation which is a skill that I would like to develop this is because I enjoy watching animated films such as Inside Out so I would like to learn the process of animation and learn from others.
Why I applied to BFI Film Academy?
From My Application-If I was to get a place in the BFI Film academy it would mean a lot to me as it is something that I would really benefit from would like to develop and learn new skills that I haven’t learnt before such as Special Effects, Directing and Script Writing.I would love to be part of this Film Academy to also meet new people, professional experts and gain more specialist film making skills.I want to learn how the film Industry really works, from development to distribution and make sure you have all the information needed to get that first step on the ladder.In conclusion would love to study at BFI Academy because in the future this programme will provide me with new opportunities and networks in the film industry which will help me with my career.
